hold down the middle button and the menu button at the same time. that should turn the iPod off. then turn it back on by holding down the menu button....hope this helps!

hold down the middle button and the menu button at the same time. that should turn the iPod off. then turn it back on. it should show a black screen with a silver apple in the middle with a bar at the bottom. once it loads it should be fixed. all of your settings will be reset. all files will still be on there and fine ok though. if this does not work you can phone apples customer support. hopefully it still under its warranty or it may cost you 50 us dollars.

Mine once froze. I just had to wait until the battery was fully drained. Then is should be all fine. It froze with the backlight on so it didn't take all that long.

Try doing that. If it's off it can take some days though..
