Am buying iPod video. What accessories do I need to buy?

I want to be able to listen to music or view videos from my iPod to TV but don't know what equipment and accessories I need in order to do this. Would also be grateful for any advice on essential accessories. I am a first time iPod user.

Maybe you should also buy a second pair of headphones, because if you use your ipod every day (like I do) the headphones are destroyed after 3 - 6 month depending on your use.

You can also buy special ipod speakers but I recommend to connect your ipod to the speakers you already have.

maybe buying an external speakers or pod speakers. it would also be convenient to use them since they're portable
