Hey,

Am I allowed to:

1) Offer Blog Hosting
2) Put ads on the hosted forums
3) Offer the possibility of paying to remove ads - and then send 75% of the money to you?
4) Use subdomain Blog.profusehost.net? - which is used by you at the moment??


Yes, I would send you 75% of the revenue created, and maybe charge something like $10 a month for ad-removal?

well, i guess blog hosting is ok. but, putting ADs would be allowed if your're using the post for host account...
the partnership idea is great ..but it doesnt look transparent to me..

well I aint in it to make money, I just want to try out this script that I made, and I would be using the Profusehost ads, not my own!

Tell me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure your allowed to host blogs, as long as it's not like webhosting, just bloghosting. You may put ads on if your post for host. The possibility to remove ads would be buying paid hosting for $2.95 a month (extreamly cheap) from them. The blog.profusehost.net is probably going to stay with them (since it is there server) but you can always just spend $15 and get a real domain for a year. If that, do godaddy because they are the only one i have seen that let you use DNS immediatly with a different host.

well thing is, I was going to make it a "Problog hosting" or something like that. so a subdomain is fine. And I would be using their ads, not my own, I would give them 75% of the revenue, so that it wouldnt' really matter if there were a few without ads, as they would be getting money!

Sorry we don't allow clients to run hosting related sites (blog, shared etc, free hosting etc). Also, we would like to be in control of sites that show our ads. Every day we get tons of applications and majority of them are rejected to prevent abuse of our services. If you were to create a blog hosting service and make it automated, you will have no control over what users can post. That's why we don't allow our clients to run such type of service on our servers.
