500 Internal Error

I can't downlaod files off my site(its really a forum). I get this error:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@xsinthis.profusehost.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

How can this be fixed? These are attachments that are stored at www.xsinthis.profusehost.net/files, i really need some help with this, it is not the forum software that is doing it...

I would also like to add that i have tried everything posted in these forums, except for the htaccess since i don't understand it and i have never touched it. I really need this fixed, i have asked people from phpBB (te comany that supplies the software my forum runs off) and they say its a problem with the host.

we have already fixed that url and it's working fine now. At that folder you have index.html and its loading fine with our ads.

Please try again in your forum and see if the index.html file is showing up.

sorry for any confusion, i meant the files are stored there, not accessed there, the files are attachment's to posts in the forum i am running, here is an example post, right now i get a blank page with this on it: "PK" without the quotes. Here is an example: http://xsinthis.profusehost.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11 when you click on the attachments i get that pk thing.I also can't use uploaded avatars. And no, nothing came up when i used that url. ANd the avatar used right now in the forum are linked form another site, thats the only way they can be used.

AHHHH!!!!!! I'm now getting the 500 error on my Admin Control Panel!!!!Please help!!!! Or is this happening cause ur trying to fix it? The ACP never had problems before, but now i'm getting the 500 errors, how soon can this be fixed?

Okay this problem seems to be getting worse and worse, when i tired to get on my site earlier it gave me an error about the how it couldn't access the SQL database, then i retried later and i'm now getting a blank page(which also happened when i was trying to access this forum but that fixed itself). I've tried both the latest version of firefox and Internet explorer but neither can access my site, please help.

Oh wow, just after i posted i checked again and the site was back up! Yay!!!! and even the downloads where working, but my ACP(administration Control Panel) is still getting the 500 error....but thanks for fixing the rest of the stuff.

can you please give me url for the admin control panel. Also, please make sure to place our ad code and footer code on all pages. For forums, please make sure to place our ad code after the first post.

its working now....weird....in fact everything even avatars are working. So the ads where the problem? I noticed they disappeared from my forum, i'll add the code tonight after school. okay its happening again and i haven't done anything to it....the 500 errors appearing when you try to download and only some avatars work.

okay its working again, i don't know if you did it or it fixed itself but everything is fine again, so this doesn't happen again, whats causing these problems? is it something i'm doing? i don't want this to happen again.
