Need Help with error

I am now getting a 500 internal error. I am trying to install dolphin and I need the following in my htaccess script.

RewriteEngine on

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule .+ - [L]
RewriteRule ^([A-Za-z0-9_-]+)$ profile.php?ID=$1 [QSA,L]
</IfModule>

I think I over wrote my old htaccess file. If this is the case can I fix it or is there something else wrong.

Ok, I am not familiar with dolphin but I am going to try my best.

First is this what you mean when talking about dolphin (this is a link) ?

At first an 500 internal error in general means you have no rights to view. So watch out your permissions (using the cpanel filemanager you can easily change the permissions. If you not sure about the permissions, set at least profile.php to 0755, which allows others to view it.

The htaccess file seems to be right, but it does not allow you to execute cgi or fast cgi scripts. (I do not know if dolphin requires things like that.)

I will try the permissions. Thank you for reminding me. I have been working on 4 website projects and campaigning for Ron in three states so saying I have had a lack of sleep doesn't even come close to the truth.

please check your .htaccess file because that's causing the error. Had to remove your .htaccess and rename it to htback -

[Sun Jan 27 14:56:42 2008] [error] [client 121.246.209.2] Premature end of script headers

As for permission, please use 775. Permission of 777 will lead to error. We don't allow 777 for security reasons.
