FTP Problems

I am getting this FTP problem when I try to upload many files, after about 1000 files, (Joomla) and after a (long) while transfers continue:

Code:

Response:	421 Too many connections (8) from this IP
Error:	Could not connect to server
Status:	Delaying connection due to previously failed connection attempt...

And yes I have restricted max simultaneous connections to 1, have a dynamic IP, am behind a NAT router and (maybe) I am sharing an IP.
