How to setup SSL?

Hi,

If I want one of my sub domains run in SSL mode, what do I need to prepare? (I've already setup enough parameters in the SSL Manager section of my CPanel, i.e. keys and certs, but when I tried to fetch the url with https:// scheme, what turned out was a standard HTTP/1.1 reply rather than an SSL server hello as had been expected.)

An SSL certificate is require to have a dedicated IP.

We do not allow FREE SSL if you wish to use SSL within your forms a purchase of hosting account is require.

Hi Langue,

The reason is SSL takes more resources such as dedicated IP, cpu time , memory time for encryption.

This is not consider cheap in long run for us.

so if we resume all these section,
1- we can make an own ssl certificate by usin cpanel of profusehost, but we can not use it for our https://mydomain.profusehost.net. is this correct?
2- do we put some files in a map after installing ssl certificate, exp; if you you e-commerce, youy have to put all files to a map of ssl to? if yes, where is this map and what is its name or if we have to make one, what permission, etc,please?
