UB Funkeys Question:?

OK, so I have 4 UB Funkeys (all normal): Lotus, Duece, Scratch and Twinx. Now, I know that Lotus has a 'Sanctuary' that you can get into if you posess him, and Scratch has a similar thing..
But my questions are:
How do I unlock portals with what I have, and
What good are my Deuce and Twinx, what do they do??
