Reliable statistics on www - internet traffic demographics? Are there any reliable (e.g. .gov sites) that provide statistics on internet related demographics?

How many people are online everyday?
How many new websites are started everyday, month, year?
How many websites die everyday, month year?

Stuff like that...

I've searched and have not found anything that is not old or full of dead links...

The Google Analytics is also great. You much check it. The only drawback I see is that its a bit slow due to the flash which it uses for displaying graphs. Also, its not providing a visible counter to be put on the pages. Check it at: Google Analytics

Also, Awstats with the C-panel is good....

I am looking for a counter which can be used as both visible and invisible. Have any idea about such?

i have heard that the information provided is 99%accurate & it used Google maps APIs too

Alexa the Web Information Company is what i use most, keep track of how many people visit my site. its has most sites, but you have to submit your own. its not to hard.
