make sure she takes her prenatal vitamins everydayand eats from all the food groups every day. no junk food, substitute junk food and sodas for juice, fruits and homemade food rather than take out.

She needs to take pre-natal vitamins, that's one of the most important things she can do. Other than that, her doctor can give her a list of foods to try and incorporate into her everyday diet.

Fruits, vegies, and lots of them...juice, TONS of water...Not a lot of soda ar caffine, I know doctors don't say any caffine or soda but it can be hard. Anything healthy. Fish is also really really great to eat when pregnant.

First don't freak about her diet. I had 3 healthy ones and just ate the normal everyday stuff. I think the docs reccomend about 2500 calories a day. I'm talking about the good stuff not the junk we want to get away with just b/c of pregnacy. Usually giving in to certian cravings are ok. I craved grapefruit morning noon and night for almost the entire time with my first. With the second it was water couldn't get enough. He had a few problems (not diet related). There are so many other things you could worry about so just let your sis do what she knows is best. Sit back and enjoy your sister as she is during this time and be supportive of her its a nine month marathon take the good with the bad. Congrats on becoming an uncle
