Default Whey protein - some nutrition advice please.?

Hi,I am currently a little overweight by about 3 stone/42 pounds.I have started to take generic whey protein, shake in the morning and one in the afternoon as well as eat healthier - more protein e.g. chicken/tunamy question is... will my muscle build taking in the extra protein even if I don't really do that much exercise or is extra protein intake basically useless unless your exercising your muscles. Thanks

If you don't workout then no matter how much protein you take in you will not get builder muscles. The muscles will only use what they need and if they are not worked then they won't need it. It will store as fat so if you are trying to lose weight then this might not be a good idea. Try a meal replacement shake instead. less protein and fat.

I wouldnt call it useless, but it wont work very well. You need to do some exercising to get the weight off. At the same time you may actually put on some weight but if you are working out then its muscle not fat. Protein attaches to the muscles to fill in the little tears caused by working out. Thats how you get muscle growth. If you are egoing to exercise then it would be better to drink slim fast or something like that instead of a protein shake.

You are starting off right by developing better eating habbits! I was over weight and just did cardio only for about 6weeks and the weight fell off. I would suggest that you start with cardio circuit training first. Start with about 30 minutes on the treadmill circulating between slow walking, running, then slow to a fast paste walking, remembering not to over do it. Try to get up to 1 hour of circuit traing after 3 weeks using the different machines in the gym, tread mill, bike, stair climber, etc so it won't get to boring. If you are not a member of a gym then you can go to the nearest public park and walk, run, jump rope etc, for 1 hour. Then start a work-out program and starte taking protein to rebuild damaged muscles that was hidden behind a lot of excess fat. It has been recommended to take protein within 30 minutes after a work out as that is when your muscles need it most. Remember you have to find out what works for you because everbody's body is different and it sometimes take shorter or longer periods for you to notice the difference so you have got to stick with it!

Extra protein is of no value if you're not doing significant strength training.Even if you are, you probably get more than sufficient protein in your normal diet to fuel muscle building.

Some of those drugs do not work for everybody. The best way to lose weight is to cut your meals and exercises like I did when I was bloated.Drugs will also leave side effects. take the naural cure. its easy if you are really serious about losing weight
