Default What's your distro?

The Linux distro I use is Gentoo. It's really stable compared to some, and perhaps not too user-friendly in terms of compiling etc, but it's really well documented, and therefore easy to follow. The environment I use is Gnome. It's faster than KDE, I find, but KDE's really pretty :P
My favourite filesystem at the moment is ReiserFS. It seems to be really good =P Though it's rather disconcerting to know that the creator of your filesystem murdered his wife... o.o

Lol, I haven't got any death threats from ReiserFS yet, but I'll let you know if I do... =P Otherwise, I'm thinking of switching to Reiser4, ReiserFS's successor. Anybody care to give me a few pointers on whether this is a good move or not? =P

Also, anyone know much about ALSA compilation? :| I've been using OSS since using Gentoo, and it's not as good as I'd like it to be, so I'll probably recompile my kernel sometime later =P

Another thing... What kernel source do you use? :P

Edit: Are ProfuseHost's servers run on Windows? Because I notice Frontpage extensions etc.

I'm not much of a fan of SuSE myself... Their distro's not well documented at all, and that's really what I like about Gentoo... They've got pages upon pages of docs, from installation to compiling etc, which makes it pretty easy for a n00b to get "in-the-know" easily, or at least that's how I got used to things

I use Ubuntu. But not the latest one. I am using 6.06LTS. I tried Suse, Redhat and Mepis. Ubuntu is easier to use, but there's no one near to solve my problems with the installation of softwares. Could U help me in Installing the driver for Smartlink modem. I tried the ubuntu forum but without success....

I've used many Linux distros like SuSe, RedHat, Ubuntu, Mandriva. Currently I'm currently using Ubuntu 7.04 along with Beryl. It's really pretty and gets most of my jobs done. The only reason I use Windows along with it is because of gaming and my TV card.
