Default How do I install Linux (xubuntu) on my eMachine t2240 desktop computer?

How do I install Linux (xubuntu) on my eMachine t2240 desktop computer? I have installed an Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 PCI video card and a Belkin Wireless G card.

I'm not too sure, Linux can be a bit funny some times, be sure to research this on your manufacturers web page or the Linux page...there are diff way of doing this. for example a certain Linux can wipe out XP...there for it would have to be installed first, meaning you'd have to back up all your files befor attempting to install Linux. other versions/ operating systems it wont matter. this is something you have to do on your own. srry

listen man i'm not trying to be a smart ass or anything but if you need help installing it maybe you should think twice about it. linux based programs are programmer oriented. if you don't have some programing knowledge you probably won't enjoy it. i tried unbuntu and kumbuntu and had a hard time understanding them. now i'll try to answer your question go to the web site download it from there it should be able to be downloaded as an iso image file save that to your desk top, documents, or where ever. burn the file to a disk now do check the site for install instructions. you might also try and Google how to install xubuntu do this before you install the program. you should be able to find all you need to know off a site on Google. good luck hope you like it.
