Default

You need to be root to do this I think, because some of the files are owned by the root account. I use Opensuse on a KDE desktop, this works with konqeror so I assume the same will work with evolution, open a terminal and type sudo then hit the return key, if you are asked for the password try these:su or exterm or ubuntuif the password is accepted you won't get an error message, then type evolution and hit the return key this should open evolution as root, you should be able to drag & drop to & from this. There is some advice on this page:http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/inde...690.htmlUbuntu is a right pain not having a root account with full priveledges it should never have been disabled as default, one reason I wouldn't use ubuntu. If you are using linux to backup or repair windows you could try knoppix live CD.
