| I am trying to set up a shared folder on ubuntu so I can access it from my mac running Mac os 10.3.9. I named the folder I want to share "server." I can get the mac to see the folder but then it asks for a username and password. I did some internet searching and found out that i need to set up a samba username and password. I typed "smbpasswd -a " into the terminal on ubuntu and it says bash: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'This is a brand new install of ubuntu 7.04 I installed it 20 minutes ago. Please Help |
