 Flat LCD 20" screen when dead or is it? My 20" LCD screen started to act up on me about a week ago. The screen would make a popping noise flicker a few times and the screen would stay on constantly. Then as time goes on the popping noice appears longer before it would stay on. Then just last couple of days it takes forever for it to try to stay on. The popping noise and the flickering of the screen would not go away the popping just sounded louder. Then just yesterday I gave up and gave in and bought a new 20" LCD, this time a different brand. But before I pitch the old one, does anyone think it's recoverable? My gut feeling is that it's dead. Is it even worth trying to take it to a PC shop and see if they can fix it or just throw it away and forget about it. Any one have a similar problem with their LCD monitor before?  |
