| Depends on how the network at your work is set up. If you have an IT support desk I would recommend that you talk to them about whether or not your laptop would work by just plugging it in. In this case if you did this they would be able to assist you in setting up your laptop for use at your work and if it needs configuration they may be able to do it for you. I also don't know what policies and procedures are in place at your workplace in regards to personal employees laptops being used on the corporate/business network.

| Yes. You can connect your laptop to high speed internet at your work, simply by plugging in the lan-wire into the respective socket in ur laptop or by wireless too(ur laptop must have wireless ethernet built in adapter to be on wireless, if no u need to buy one to be able to access wireless internet) depending on how the internet is set up at ur office... |

| It depends on what operating system you are using. If you are using something like Windows XP or you have an Apple, you should be able to just plug in the network cable and it should work. On the other hand it is possible that for example to access the internet, you will require the details of the company proxy server. You should be able to find these settings either by looking at a current computer which is connected to your office network, open up a browser click on Tools, Internet Settings, Connections, and see what the settings are. If it is blank, then you are good to go, if there are some port numbers set there, do the same with your browser and you are good to go.Generally after you plug in your lap-top, you will need to log into your network, so you will need your login ID and password, but some work networks might require some other software to be installed, again your network administrator, or the guy/gal who looks after your network should be able to help. |
