Default Free Web Space upgrade to 10 GB

We have decided to upgrade the the web space to 10 Gb for everyone who is on “free web hosting with ads”. The upgrade doesn’t apply to users on “free web hosting with no ads” or “post for host” package. If you are on “free web hosting with ads” or "free web hosting with manual ads" package, please log into your site control panel and make sure the space shows 10 GB. If you still see 2 GB, please either start a new topic in our support forum or submit a new ticket.

Great! Thanks for this decision. Now I don't have problems with my web space because it's very big. Thank you very much.

Wow! I'm on Post for Host, so this doesn't apply to me, but I have to say, you guys really are generous.

Thumbs up

Thanks so much, always making us satisfied. I'm planning on having a relatively large forum, so I may benefit in the future.

Even though you are planning on having a large forum in the future initially it will be fine on shared hosting but if it becomes quite large or you feel that you want/need a server specifically dedicated to your site because it is intensive on the machine or requires certain things that you can't get on a shared hosting plan you may need to change to dedicated hosting.

ProfuseHost continues to excel themselves.

Quick question, how does "shared" shared hosting differ from "dedicated" shared hosting? I have been working with a web hosting company for almost four years now and this is the first time I heard of such. Pardon my ignorance guys but I am just plain curious.

I believe wired076 was referring to dedicated server for forums that get too large and require more memory/cpu processing.

If it was 2GB with ads and 2GB post for host, then it went to 10GB with ads, shouldn't the post for host increase to 10GB to, or if not, at least 5GB.

post for host clients are only required to make 15 posts per month. If we provide more space, we would be forced to increase the no. of posts required.

I am sorry for the confusion I am not sure what happened there but I don't remember adding those links in...

I had mean't to show the difference between "shared hosting" and "dedicated hosting".

The difference is that one is shared between multiple users/accounts and the other dedicated refers to using the server specifically for your site/s. On a dedicated server you are the only one using the server and its resources.

Default why not

why not. I am ready to post 30-50 posts per month if you give me 10 gb. damn i'm confident. and i'm sure other post for host users will agree with me. hey guys make a sound. hold a poll on how many post you want to make per month for 10gb space. Come on, it costs nothing to make posts.

Default cheers

yeah man. i agree. i will do anything if they give me ad free 10 gb. 50-60 post doesn matter. coz a paid hosting would have cost me a lot. why not just spending some time posting.

Not a problem. 50 - 60 psoting is not a big ask when compared to the space of 10 gb.

Most people don't enjoy posting 50-60 posts. Therefore, we have no plans to bring that back.
