i guess profusehost does make MORE than $600, due to ADs on normal free accounts and forums.

You are forgetting the server fee, staff fees, licensing fees. We have admins who monitor free hosting and shared hosting servers 24x7. Having someone who is always monitoring a server 24x7 and updating security policies on the server cost money. Also, things like fantastico, web site builder, cpanel cost extra money on monthly basis. Initially, when Profuse Host started, Psychz Networks (parent company) paid for all the cost for 1 whole year. In the end, I am happy that Profuse Host is able to pay for all the cost and prevent the company from going out of business.

yes, i imagined the costs involved in maintaining such a big business.
#paying the cost of servers,maintaining them, and paying for internet connection.
#recruiting employees meant for particular needs and paying them salary
#licensing, extra scripts and even the forum (vbulletin) costs money.
# i dont know if you've been involved with SEO companies or not..but that also costs.

i imagined that we get all this for free. so we dont really appreciate the hard work and finances being invested by the admins and others...

I saw pzychz a long while ago, they have insaidly cheap price for dedicated hosting! only $290 a month for basically unlimited everything.

Profusehost.net is a great webhosting company which I am proud to have used for a period of longer than 2 years now.

Yeah, I hope so too and if you want to support profusehost.net we would be very pleased if you inform other webmasters about this service and maybe place a backlink on your side, so your users know where you host your side and who provides the bandwidth for you. But it is not required to place a back link after all.
