I think you should add scripts

I think you should add more scripts to the script library. Here are some good various free ones that you dont have. It would be a good way to draw in other webmasters in need of help.

All the softwares i searched have a free license.That means absolutely free to download and distribute.I've not searched for the software he mentioned but i'll search and tell about the softwares he mentioned.Edit:I just saw now that u people have put fantastico.That's very cool it has many scripts.And it's unbelievable,profusehost rules.

I was referring to license for fantastico. Yes the scripts are free but fantastico requires a license fee. We did install it today and please let us know if you encounter any errors.

Ok i'll tell if i encounter any problems.And the fantastico is great i just installed a couple of scripts with it.It's very easy to use.I installed wordpress 2.0.5 with it.I heard the news that wordpress 2.0.6 is out.So do u know how to upgrade to it through fantastico?

yeah, fantastico is working pretty well. i just installed joomla and its working super. all the settings match as per requirement.
server seems to have appropriate settings, including rg_emulation off... a new thing which joomla latest version requires.

I thought that since all those scripts are free, couldn't webmasters just install them themselves? At least that's what I did. I don't trust automated things, like automatic script installers.

well, its not about being free .. the reason fantastico is popular is that it installes scripts in a minute. and without any errors. you get a lot of scripts which can be installed at a push of a button.
or, as you said...we could opt for the HARD way. geta FTP software. download the script we need. ..check ftp settings, and upload the files on the server hoping that all files are there, and it installs well, and the server settings are suitable...
i prefer one click!!

Yes, they could, but not all webmasters know where to go to find the freeware, are no good at installing, or dont want to spend the time.
