Default Photoshop Question

I need some help from a Photoshop expert, please! I'm trying to take 5 images and put them into a rectangular collage (i guess is the closest word i can think of). I have almost no experience in photoshop, and could use some assistance. What I'm trying to do is to shrink images of different sizes and then cut and paste in the blank space. if anyone could help, or point me to a simple tutorial, I'd be much obliged. I really can't be bothered to get deep into learning photoshop at this time, and just need to do this one simple task. thanks DPers.

hey its you again. like i said i have adobe photoshop CS so idon't know if this tutorial applies to you.

alright so make a new file and set the details. CTRL + N

take the pictures that you want to shrink, at the top go to
IMAGE >> image size >> now shrink it to the pixel size you want by typing your numbers in the box

then you use the move tool (type V on your keyboard) and you drag it onto the blank canvas.
all done!

=)

Do you mean fuse them together? Like make them fade into each other?

hey,
for doing this stuff, opt for fireworks (macromedia) ... you just gotta click on the "sub-selection" tool on the tool bar, and then drag the edges of the pic to shrink it ..
then, select it and right click and cut-copy-paste ..its simple
