Music to buy (or with no copyright)

I am currently creating a promotional site for my universitys rapid prototype studio. Part of this is going to involve a short video, for this I am just going to compile some time lapse footage with a soundtrack.

Chances are it will be getting used live once I have left and therefore cannot infringe on any copyright laws. I've managed to get/buy some decent footage but cant find any music. Does anyone know anywhere you can buy music or find stuff that is free to use, looking for something electronic (orbital/chemical bros style).

I would make it myself but dont have the time or skill.

What you're looking for is called "royalty-free" music - once you buy it, you practically own it and can do whatever you want with it. A great site I found for stuff like this is ProductionTrax.com - they have tons of royalty-free music that once you buy for a one-time fee, you can use it in whatever movie or website you want.

You might also do a search for GNU music (I think that is the name...google it). As long as you don't get paid for it, you can do whatever you want also.
