Default FTP problem

I had some serious problem with connecting with my site's server. Everytime I want to connect, this message appears:

530 Sorry, the maximum number clients from your host are already connected

I didn't have any problems like that before. I'm using WS FTP... anyone can help ?

i had some serious problem with my FTP too... on this comp i couldnt access my FTP account at all... it just wouldnt show at all... i downloaded and updated the comp etc.. still it didnt work... decided that i would screw the whole idea... and so i downloaded smartFTP - then it finally worked...

i tried these two

WS_FTP
crystal FTP Pro

and honestly i thought they were crap compared to smartFTP... cus it was just more userfriendly.. i dont know if it will help u.. but it helped me.. even though we have 2 different problems.. maybe they got the same solution ?

the 530 error is telling you that your computer is already logged in and the site does not allow one ip to login more than one time(it doesn't have to be one login if max logins is set to 10 and you try to login 11 times you will get the same msg)

Well the error says too much ppl are connected to the ftp from the same (your) place.

Where you connected before and got disconnected? If you did maybe it it didn't timeout.

an FTP server is not very hardware intensive... all you need is an old computer. (i would recommend a PIII or better, mine is a PIII 450mHz & it works just fine)

you can find more information on setting up the FTP server here
