i think CD's suck shit... nothing but problems with em.. if u dont get good ones after 6 yrs they stop workin and u get scratches and everything... and they take up too much space.. and u always have to make some sort of library out of em... and its always a pain to find the right cd's... unless ur very neat etc..lol ... which im not.. so i find it easier to do it on a comp.. cus theres always neatness there..if u wanna look at the long terms i would say go for a HD... depends on the prices u get em for etc.. i saw a guy could get 30gb for 500?.. cant remember...for the same price i get a 120gb.. so i find it better buying that then buying the equivilant in CD's.. unless im burning MP3's to bring to parties etc...

CD's are OK.
But DVD is better.
DVD-Burners becomes very cheap, 150€, and
1-2€ (1€ = 1.16$) is OK for a DVD-R.

I've seen 120 gb hard drives for $80 after rebates, which is pretty nice.

The iPod is nice, but the Nomad Zen Jukebox is much much more cost efficient (20 gb for $300) and I think as easy to use as the iPod. The screen isn't quite as nice, but it works fine for me.

Yeah i was standing in the store debating which one to get either teh Zen or Ipod.. bought the Zen.. cus i know the program well and its was worth more for the money.. and so far its been good.. except i brought it to school the last day.. turned it on to play.. and it froze on the logo..i pressed the restart button.. and ever since it hasnt worked.. pisses me off so i gotta send it in for repair.. my bro and sis got it too.. and their really satisfied with it..! i lost it on the ground quite a few times..(no not when it froze)... and it worked fine afterwards..

i'm lazy, i don't backup. so for my next system i'm thinking of using a RAID mirror setup, the easiest and most transparent way to backup. 8)

DVD burners are good but for mass back up external Harddrives are your best option they are cheap and faster to write to and read from (no CD,DVD swapping).
By the way I recently bought an Ipod and Love it, I have copied pretty much every mp3 I have on to it and listen to it where ever I go

you may also use a few software available today that will create an image copy of your hard drive and put it in a single file
