Default When Windows Supports Unicode

Do anyone out here have any idea when windows will began to support Unicode. I think it must be done quickly. it is time for Microsoft to integrate Unicode in to their softwares or they must be a way back behind. What you people think??

Microsoft supports unicode. Its in all over the system. Even when you open up notepad and save something it saves it in unicode unless I'm not understanding your question.

Yeah... Microsoft do support Unicode. That's why you are able to view internet content in your regional languages using Internet Explorer better than any other browsers.

Z0iked: But, notepad in Windows XP couldn't save file contents in our regional language Malayalam.... Don't know what's the case with Vista.....

I think Internet explorer doesn't support Unicode. I tried to browse the website of two of our regional languages. The first website asked me to download a font and the second one wanted to download another font for proper display of the contents. If the IE is Unicode enabled I don't have to do this.. Right???

Its not because Windows supports Unicode. Unicode needs fonts to disply the charecters. If you download the fon't once, its ll ok. And Windows renders unicode almost perfectly.
